Lord Coman of Kraggen Keep had recently died without designating a successor. It was customary in such instances as this for the oldest son to become the new head of the household. […] But he had his doubts about Demoth's ability to command. So, apparently, did most of the elders of Demoth's own family, who supported a younger son named Korey.
– Torisen's narration, Dark of the Moon, "Chapter 2: The Hell Hunt"
Though his father was a staunch Caineron ally, Korey is wavering. However, his main allegiance still lies with the Caineron and Caldane.
Because a double-edged sword is the emblem of the Coman, Korey started the rather unpractical fashion in his house of wearing a tiny double-edged dagger as an earring. Unfortunately, the wearers get poked rather a lot.
Korey was born the son of the previous Lord Coman, and his consort, a Caineron lady.
When the previous Lord Coman died without a lordan, standard procedure said that his eldest son Demoth become the next lord. However, the Coman didn't think well of Demoth, and chose Korey as their next lord instead. However, to become Lord Coman, Korey need the Highlord's confirmation. Torisen named Demoth Lord Coman temporarily when they Host matched on the Cataracts, but held off from confirming him fully. During the Battle of the Cataracts, Torisen got a better look at Demoth's abilities, and decided to confirm Korey as Lord Coman.
