Once Dally had proudly told Jame that, like all the deities of the New Pantheon, Dalis-sar had once been a man,
Jame's narration, God Stalk, Book II: Crown of Nights, "Chapter 5: Winter Days"

The New Pantheon are the gods of Rathillien that came into being with the arrival of the Kencyr temples into the world. The New Pantheon gods, most of whom are deified mortals, feed on the power of the Kencyr temples and are more powerful than the Old Pantheon, who they displaced. The idea that they are so sustained is called the Anti-God Heresy by New Pantheon priests.[1]

Gorgo is the only god who transitioned from the Old Pantheon to the New, although he changed purpose; he was a rain god in the Old and a god of lamentations in the New.
