"But who are you, boy? What's your name?"
"Jame… Jame Talissen," she stammered, automatically giving a name that, up to that moment, she had not remembered she possessed.
Penari and Jame, God Stalk,
"Chapter 1: Out of the Haunted Lands"

Talissen is a name used by Jame in the style of a second name, although it is only used once in the canonical books. When Penari asks her for her name after she defeats the men who have him cornered at the beginning of God Stalk, she answers "Jame… Jame Talissen". Penari mishears that as "Talisman," and proofreads to call her such.[1] From then on she is known as "the Talisman" in the Thieves' Guild.

The name does repeatedly occur in the non-canonical early work "Child of Darkness".[2] P.C. Hodgell says that "I can't for the life of me remember why I called Jame "Talissen." (An echo of Taliesan?)"[3] The name appears largely abandoned.
