Valantir is the Riverland keep of the Jaran. It is on the western bank of the Silver.
History[]
Valantir was originally an ancient Bashtiri fortress, which like all the keeps, was itself built on the site of an even older Merikit hill fort.
Keep[]
In the two Riverland maps,[1][2] Valantir seems have a simple, square design. It appears to be on a hill, or perhaps even a mountain, giving the keep the high ground should it be be attacked.
Some of Valantir, such as it's footprint and the stream it spans, can be seen on the Mount Alban map. It appears to have two main sections, one on a streambank and one on and island in the middle of the street, with the two connected by a bridge or walkway.[3]
