A war maid or battle maid is a Merikit woman who chooses to fight and hunt like a man.[1] They do not marry, and may take whatever lover they choose.[2] They live in a lodge on the west side of the Merikit village.[3]
Prid considers the war maids' life "free," although it truth it is not.[4][5]
To become a war maid, a girl needs to be admittance by the current war maids.[6][7]
