The White Knife is a Kencyr suicide knife. They are modeled on the Ivory Knife. After a battle, the dying Kencyr if conscious or their bonded Lord can judge when recovery is not possible, and offer the white knife to end suffering. It can also provide an honorable death, to redeem honor after a lie.
Metaphorically, the Whife Knife has the extended meaning of any honorable suicide, even one that does not involve the actual knife.
