The White Knife is a Kencyr suicide knife. They are modeled on the Ivory Knife.[2] After a battle, the dying Kencyr if conscious or their bonded Lord can judge when recovery is not possible, and offer the white knife to end suffering.[3] It can also provide an honorable death, to redeem honor after a lie.

Metaphorically, the Whife Knife has the extended meaning of any honorable suicide, even one that does not involve the actual knife.[4]
